Romain is a registered sports massage therapist, with a degree in Sports Science. He uses his extensive knowledge of the body to help people with tight, painful muscles and also works with postural correction, prescribed movement and exercise. Romain has studied with the renowned Physical Trainer Gilles Cometti and is passionate about the power of movement to alleviate pain and enhance performance. Romain works in Balham and Streatham where he lives and is passionate about helping local patients to feel better, while improving performance and quality of life. He is currently studying Osteopathy at the London School of Osteopathy.

What to expect:

Romain will go through a short case history and postural examination at your first appointment, in order to identify your treatment requirements and any underlying postural or movement issues that may be causing your pain.

Sports massage:

Sports massage is a deep tissue treatment to help improve blood flow, release tension and restore balance in the musculoskeletal system. As the name suggests, sports massage can be very beneficial for sports people of all levels. Muscular tightness and imbalances can impede performance and lead to injury further down the line. Using sports massage alongside your training can help to manage any such issues.

Sports massage can also be very therapeutic and help those who may not consider themselves to be from a sporting background. As a remedial approach to massage, techniques aim to improve dysfunction in muscle tissue and promote better tissue health. Desk workers and those who suffer from general aches and pains often find sports massage very useful as a way to manage general stiffness.

Rehabilitation:

Each patient will be given exercises and advice to help provide longer term relief from pain. Romain beliefs passionately in the body’s ability to heal itself given the appropriate structural environment and will work with patients to achieve this.
